Indeed ‘Span’ does brighten the mood, with small photo essays with titles like ‘Gorgeous Gaby’ and ‘This years Model’ featuring ‘Lovely ladies’ in various assortments of swimming costume and underwear. Lots of tasteful cleavage but no nudity.
No understanding wife would have objected to this harmless little publication in 1950’s Britain.
